Christmas, Revisited

We were traveling to see family over Christmas, so here's a recap. Will is spoiled! He got so many toys, we don't even know where to go with it all. Thanks you to our families, for all their generousity. It was wonderful to spend Will's first Christmas with you!

1 Year Old Today!!!

Wow, what a year this has been! I can't believe my baby is not a baby anymore! This year has flown by and I just can't believe Will is a year old. I must say this has been the best year of our lives and we are so lucky to be Will's parents.

Will has been celebrating his birthday for the past couple of days both in Racine and Appleton. Apparently he's not a cake person yet, but it was fun to see him explore the cakes. Thank you to all who celebrated with us!

Santa came a little early today in the form of the UPS guy. I wasn't daring enough to actually try the sled outside today, but Will definitely enjoyed the indoor ride.

Walking By Christmas

I remember saying when Will was born... "He could be walking by Christmas." I think it's fair to say he's officially reached that milestone. It's not the fastest walk I've ever seen, but it counts!

Anand has been in Spain for a week now and we're missing him around here. Will wanted to blow him a kiss! We love you!

Santa!

We went to see Santa today and it went surprising well! Will wasn't afraid of him at all and there was no line! Santa was very patient and let me take several pictures in hopes of getting a smile. I never got the perfect picture, but these will do.

Jammie Time with Sarah

Will hadn't seen Sarah in a while, so this was a nice little treat. We got to stay out until 8:00 Friday night. That's a big deal for us!

First Time in the Snow!

Even though Will was born with a lot of winter left to go last year, he never got the real snow experience. So we headed outside today to play in the snow. He did not love it. Maybe we need to try when it's not actually snowing. He just kept climbing the stairs to go back inside.

11 Months Old (Yesterday)!

This past month has been especially fun. Will is getting more confident with his walking and will walk short distances completely unassisted. He still crawls a lot, but he is very proud of himself when he chooses to walk. This past weekend we went to both Racine and Appleton for Thanksgiving. It was great to see our families and celebrate.

New Camera

I got my Christmas present early and I'm really enjoying my new camera. It's amazing the quality difference. No more red eyes!!

As Long As It's Not A Toy...

then Will will play with it. I think we have a lot of toys for a 10 month old, but he's already bored with all of them. His favorite activites include: playing under the kitchen table, emptying the tupperware drawer, playing with a fly swatter (I cleaned it), banging the broom around, and, of course, scaling the gate. What are we doing wrong???

A Visit From Cheri

We also got a visit from Cheri last weekend. Her daughter, Charlotte, stayed home with Tony, but we look forward to seeing her soon.

Thanksgiving Art

Will and I did some Thanksgiving art last week. He really didn't understand the concept of painting with a brush, so it kind of became finger painting. Hopefully the paint isn't toxic, since he definitley got a little taste in.

Badger Day

The Hoffman family came for a visit yesterday and the boys had a lot of fun. Will doesn't have many male friends, so this was a real treat. Will watched the boys play and Noah and Caden were very tolerant of Will taking toys from them and hanging on them. Thanks for coming!

Not Too Shabby For a 10 Month Old!

Watching Will's first steps has been so much fun. He doesn't always want to cooperate, but when the mood strikes, he does pretty well.

Playing In The Leaves

This video is a couple of weeks old, but I really have nothing else to post. Will is currently fighting a double ear infection and sporting many new bumps and bruises from his adventurous spirit. So......let's remember a better time, 2 weeks ago, when we could play outside in the leaves.

Will and Sarah had fun at the park last week. Will especially enjoyed the wagon ride and some good pushes from Cheryl on the swings.

I Wasn't Kidding About The Climbing!!

Is this normal? He just turned 10 months old and he's climbing everything in sight! On Sunday I was in the basement doing laundry and when I came back upstairs, Will was gone! He had scaled the gate, went up the stairs and was in the upstairs bathroom playing. When I found him he had a smile from ear to ear. He thought he was very cool...I did not!

Lots of Kisses!

Will has gotten very good at kissing and has now started to initiate the kissing. Actually, kissing is only one of his latest tricks. This weekend Will learned to clap, wave, stand without holding on to anything and take his first step. It was a big weekend!!

Buddies

Today is Sarah's 1st birthday! Last night Will got to spend some time with his buddies to celebrate. Happy Birthday Sarah!

Halloween Night

Motelets came over to do a little trick or treating last night. Will and Sarah couldn't keep there eyes off each other, each thinking the other looked a little bit different. Then we all headed over to Havilands to see Kendall and Dane. The skunk and chick were very welcoming. It was quite a fun night!

We have a couple of options tonight for trick-or-treating. Will is modeling his lobster and bear costumes. Oh- and when I say trick-or-treating, I mean going to a couple friends houses and eating candy on Will's behalf. Have a safe Halloween!

10 Months Old Today

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe Will is another month older. These 10 months have gone by so fast, I can hardly remember when he first arrived. I never thought he'd be climbing everything in sight by the time he was 10 months old, but it's definitely his favorite thing to do. Maybe Santa will bring him a climber for Christmas, we'll see...

Halloween Art

Will had fun making ghosts and bats with footprints, a witch from a handprint and a pumpkin from his bum. You can take the girl out of the daycare, but not the daycare from the girl.
