7 Months Old

This past month has really brought on some changes in our lives. Not only is Will officially ours, but he's army crawling all over the place! This has made things much more challenging. He's getting stuck under tables, turning on the stereo and pulling speakers down (on his head) by the cord. (Luckily, they are very small speakers). We have some serious baby proofing to do!

Adoption Party

We invited our family up to celebrate the finalization of Will's adoption. It was wonderful everyone could make it and see each other again. Thank you all for making the trip and celebrating with us.

Splash Park

We took Will to the new splash park after his adoption hearing. He wasn't too sure about it at first, since the water was really cold, but he eventually came around and really enjoyed it. We could swing him through the water and he'd giggle everytime he got wet. It was a fun filled day for sure.

Will's Adoption Day!!

It's official!!! Today we went to court and legally adopted Will!! This is such a wonderful day for us and we couldn't be happier! It was a very short hearing in the judges chambers, but of course I cried through the whole thing. The judge gave Will a stuffed animal as a souvenir and we applied for a new birth certificate. Will is now and forever a Patel!

Splashing Around

The ducky tub is doubling as a swimming pool this summer. It's much easier than blowing up a big pool and Will still seems to be having fun.

Rolling Balls

I'm resorting to almost anything to stimulate Will. He's no longer content with activity gyms or an exersaucer, so I thought some fun balls (from my table centerpiece) and a good view would help. Of course, he's still easily distracted by the TV.

Drapes

Who knew Will was so into drapes. I often find him gnawing on them when he thinks no one is looking.

Last Weekend

We headed up to Appleton last weekend for a wedding. Will loved all the girls' sparkly outfits. He especially liked seeing them shake their bangle bracelets.

Sitting

Will has been working very hard at sitting. He still needs a spotter, but he's really close to doing it all by himself. I think you can see the pride in his face.

Doctor's Orders

Will's doctor told me we need to start brushing Will's teeth, now that he has some. To my surprise, I found out Will loves to have his teeth brushed. In fact, he grabbed the tooth brush and did it himself. It's nice to know Will cares about oral hygene.

Swimming With Sarah

Will got to enjoy some fun in the sun with Sarah yesterday. Thanks for the mini pool party!

First Boat Ride

Will went on his first boat ride last week. He enjoyed the ride, but not the vest.

Will also had his 6 month doctor visit today, so here are the stats... weight- 18 lbs, 1 oz (60th percentile), height- 26 1/2 inches long (50th percentile). I always think Will is big, but I guess he really is just average. Like I always say, he holds his weight in his cheeks!
